Mah-Jong anyone? A message from Peter Gregory
Mah-Jong is a charming, late nineteenth century, Chinese game played with engraved tiles that’s become very popular with U3A groups throughout the country.
I belong to a Mah-Jong group in Peterborough U3A that was started up two years ago. Because I had some previous knowledge of the game, I was asked to teach the others how to play.
This led me to produce a web site which, besides explaining the rules, gives a gentle introduction to the game – suitable for someone who is not familiar with it. The web site also contains lots of other information about Mah-Jong: where to by Mah-Jong sets, a list of U3A clubs, web sites you can visit, etc.
The web site name is www.MahJongBritishRules.com.
I believe that we do. Please contact the group leader directly for more information.
