Next outing: House of Commons
when: Tuesday June 30th. It is at the early time of 9.35am.
We have to be there twenty minutes beforehand. So we will gather between 9.00 and 9.10am beside the railings of the Houses of Parliament just opposite the entrance to Westminster Station on Bridge St. Our instructions are that we should be prompt. We will also have to pass through airport style security. We cannot take photos in the building.
The tour will take about 75 minutes. After it we can use the café in Westminster Hall for light refreshments. (We cannot consume our own food or drink in the building).
When we leave the Houses of Parliament we will cross the road to visit the Jewel Tower (built 1365) which was part of the mediaeval palace. It houses an exhibition about Parliament.
